Introduction to the BSc (Hons) Psychology and Marketing Programme

The BSc (Hons) Psychology and Marketing programme at Aston University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of psychology and marketing, as well as the practical skills necessary to excel professionally. This dual-accredited programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), offering students the opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications.

The programme aims to equip students with a deep understanding of human behaviour and the complex interplay between biological, psychological, environmental, cultural, and social influences on behaviour. Programme Structure

The programme is structured over four years, with the first year introducing students to the key principles and concepts of psychology and marketing. The second year builds on this foundation, introducing students to new subject areas such as individual differences, health and personality, and marketing communications. The third year is spent on a placement, where students can apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting. Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the programme include:


  • A Levels: BBB in any three A Level subjects, or BBC in any three A Level subjects plus grade B in either Core Maths or Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
  • BTEC: DDD in a National Extended Diploma (RQF) or Extended Diploma (QCF) in any subject
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: 31 points overall, with grades 5, 5, 5 in three Higher Level subjects
  • GCSEs: Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English Language or English Literature
  • Resit Applicants: We welcome applications from students who are resitting to improve their grades
  • Contextual Offers: Aston Ready is our contextual offer scheme, which can reduce your undergraduate offer by one or two grades

Fees and Scholarships

The tuition fees for the programme are:


  • UK students: Ł9,535 per year (2026/27), with a reduced fee of Ł1,250 during the placement year
  • International students: Ł22,575 per year (2026/27), with a reduced fee of Ł2,500 during the placement year Aston University offers a range of scholarships to help lower tuition and living costs.
