Introduction to the MSc Supply Chain Management Program

The MSc Supply Chain Management program at Aston University is a triple-accredited course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the supply chain and logistics sectors. This program is run in partnership between the Aston Business School and the School of Engineering and Innovation, distinguishing it from other universities.

Program Overview

The program focuses on the effective deployment of advanced technology in environmentally sustainable and globally connected supply chains. It is designed for students from an engineering or business background who wish to acquire specialist skills and knowledge in supply chain management. The course duration is one year, with the option to extend to 22 months through the Professional Practice route.

1. Meet the needs of recent graduates and those already in employment who wish to acquire specialist skills and knowledge in Supply Chain Management.
2. Provide a flexible and comprehensive programme of study that meets the needs of local, national, and international students.
3. Enable learners to conduct independent research, evaluate methodologies, develop critiques, and propose best practice applications in the field of supply chain management.
4. Develop well-qualified graduates who aspire to senior supply chain and logistics management positions.
5. Provide relevant and up-to-date content by maintaining and enhancing links with business, professional, and public sector organisations.
6. Enhance lifelong learning skills and personal development to enable students to work independently and contribute to business and society.

Assessment

The course is assessed through a diverse range of methods, including individual/group projects and presentations, poster sessions, coursework assignments, portfolio preparation, as well as in-person and online examinations.

Graduates from this program have recently secured positions such as Supply Chain Analyst, Corporate and Planning Strategist, Quality Controller, Procurement and Logistics Expeditor, and Content Operations Executive. Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the program, students must have:

• A 2:2 (lower second-class honours) degree or equivalent
• An equivalent overseas degree recognised by Aston University
• A professional reference and an official academic transcript of university grades to date International students must also meet the English language requirements.

Fees and Scholarships

The annual tuition fees for UK students are Ł12,500, and for international students are Ł24,800. Aston University offers a range of scholarships to help lower tuition and living costs.
