Introduction to Business Enterprise Development

The BSc (Hons) Business Enterprise Development degree at Aston University is designed for individuals who want to learn by doing, set up their own business, or develop their entrepreneurial skills to work in a large organization. Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Business Enterprise Development degree is a practical program that allows students to work in small project teams and larger learning organizations as part of the Team Academy Aston community. Students will set up real projects and enterprises, developing their skills around marketing, sales, finance, HR, operations, strategy, and more. The program is based on the Team Academy model of entrepreneurship education from Finland and focuses on developing entrepreneurial capacity and mindset through learning-by-doing.

2. Facilitate activities and learning opportunities required to enable students to develop their entrepreneurial capabilities.

4. Develop the self-regulatory skills and motivation necessary to enable students to embrace lifelong learning and development.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the program include:

• A Levels: BBC (standard offer), BCC (contextual offer)
• BTEC Extended Diploma: DDM (standard offer)
• IB: 29 points overall in the IB diploma with grades 5,5,4 in 3 higher level subjects
• Access: QAA-recognised Access Diploma with 45 credits at Level 3
• T Levels: Various T Levels are accepted qualifications for this course
• GCSEs: Maths grade C/4, English Language or English Literature grade C/4
• International students: Various qualifications are accepted, including undergraduate year one programs at approved teaching partners

Fees and Scholarships

The course fees for UK students are Ł9,535 per year, and for international students, the fees are Ł23,500 per year. There are various scholarships available, including the Aston Scholarship and the Alumni Scholarship.

Assessment

All assessment on this program is authentic, allowing students to demonstrate what they have achieved in other ways. Assessment is carried out through a variety of means, including real-life client challenges, creating career and personal development plans, pitching for funding, showcasing team projects, and maintaining a reflective journal.
