Delivery

The program is delivered online, consisting of 12 credit hours. Admissions are accepted in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Admissions & Requirements

General requirements for graduate students at UNC Charlotte can be found on the Graduate Admissions website. In addition to the general requirements for admission to the Graduate School, the following are required for admission to the Graduate Certificate: Nurse Administration program:

1. Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current license in North Carolina or a compact state or the state identified by faculty for clinical practice before enrollment. OR Graduation from a post-secondary level Nursing Program (United States RN Registration not required).
2. Baccalaureate degree from a university accredited by a US Dept. of Education-recognized institutional accreditor.
3. A statement of purpose describing experience and area of specialization or interest in nursing practice.
4. Three letters of recommendation from professional colleagues.

Additional Certificate Requirements

• Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 (B) GPA in their graduate courses, and may not accumulate more than two C grades.
• Completion of 12 hours required coursework within 4 years.

Tuition

• NC Resident: $309.59 per credit hour
• Non-Resident: $1,186.59 per credit hour
  • College of Health & Human Services Fee: $66.67 per credit hour

Program Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, masters degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice program, and post-graduate APRN certificate program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
