Additional Degree Requirements

Admissions & Requirements

  • One year of professional nursing practice is recommended.
  • Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university. A B.S.N. is preferred.
  • Overall GPA of 3.0 in the last degree earned is preferred.
  • Completion of a statistics course with a grade of C or better.
  • A statement of purpose describing the applicants experience and educational goals of the chosen specialty.
  • Three letters of recommendation from professional colleagues.

Tuition

  • NC Resident: $309.59 per credit hour
  • Non-Resident: $1,186.59 per credit hour
  • College of Health & Human Services Fee: $66.67 per credit hour

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, masters degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice program, and post-graduate APRN certificate program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
