Description of the Program

Our study programs provide students with critical-reflective thinking skills necessary to understand the socio-cultural context of their work. Bachelor of Social Work graduates are aware of the complexity and dynamics of social systems and human behavior. They are committed to values and ethics of Social Work and act according to the principles of social justice. Social workers promote the development of democratic social relations and social integration.

  3. If the application fee is received, the evaluation of your application will begin.

Entrance Exam

The entrance exam can be taken personally or via MS Teams. Topics include:

  • Prior experiences (e.g., volunteering, special learning, and work experiences)
  • What major challenges did you handle?
  • Why are you interested in this program? What do you know about social work?
  • Expectations
  • Future plans

Documents to be Submitted

  • Certified and translated (if originals are not in English) copy of school transcripts and certificates showing satisfactory completion of senior high school
  • Apostilled copy of degree certificates issued in certain countries
  • CV in English
  • Motivation letter (introduction plus field of interest, etc.) in 3000 to 3500 characters
  • Motivational video recording
  • Copy of valid passport or national ID
  • Medical certificate, including:
    • Vaccination card (showing that you are immunized against HEP B)
    • HEP A/B/C test
    • HIV test
    • Chest X-ray: Please attach the chests X-ray result (not the film!) in English/Hungarian (not older than 3 months)
  • Transfer receipt of the EUR 140 application fee
  • Acceptable online language exams:
    • Duolingo online exam from score 115
    • IELTS Indicator from score 6.0
    • Oxford Online Placement Test: 70 points
  • Official copy of the following language exam certificates:
    • TOEFL (iBT internet-based): 72 points
    • IELTS: Overall Band Score: 6.0
    • Cambridge ESOL: B2 level
    • TELC: B2 level
    • ECL: B2 level
    • Trinity Integrated Skills in English (ISE and ISE Digital): ISE II or 80 points
    • Pearson PTE Academic: 59 points
    • Oxford Test of English Advanced (OTEA): 111 points
    • Michigan English Test: 53 points

Exemptions from Language Examination

Applicants are exempt from the language examination requirement if they meet the following criteria:


  • If the applicant obtained their secondary education in one of the following countries: the USA, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, New Zealand, Australia, Canada (except French-language secondary schools), Singapore, or the Republic of South Africa
  • If the applicant has an International Baccalaureate (IB) qualification
  • If the applicant has Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, or OxfordAQA International Examinations with (I)GCSE + A-levels
