Target Audience

The programme requires a bachelors or recognised equivalent undergraduate degree and is tailored for a diverse range of students, welcoming candidates from all academic and professional backgrounds. This ensures a transdisciplinary and intercultural environment, helping students acquire new skills while deepening their expertise through a chosen field.


Programme Structure

  • The first semester provides a shared foundation in key skills and knowledge, focusing on transversal skill development.
  • The second semester offers thematic pathways to choose from: Food, Water, Life and Health, or Energy and Sustainable Cities.
  • The third semester includes an internship.
  • The fourth semester involves collaborating in teams with external stakeholders to investigate and evaluate a complex societal challenge from various intercultural and transdisciplinary perspectives.

International Exposure and Mobility

The programme is a joint degree delivered by nine universities in the CHARM-EU university alliance. It offers diverse opportunities for physical and virtual mobility, building an international profile, intercultural competence, and global skills. Over the course of 4 semesters, students have the opportunity to study at up to 4 of the partner universities, with compulsory mobility during the second semester and optional during the third and fourth semesters.
