The Bachelor of Midwifery/Bachelor of Nursing is a double degree program that prepares students for a career in both midwifery and nursing. This undergraduate program combines the study of midwifery and nursing, enabling graduates to register and practice as both registered midwives and registered nurses. Fees
The tuition fee for international students is AU$20,500 per semester.
Location
The program is offered at the St Albans campus for the first two years, with the final two years conducted at the Sunshine Clinical School.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) with a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English, and a study score of at least 20 in one of Biology, Chemistry, Health And Human Development, any Mathematics, or Psychology.
- Completion of an Australian Advanced Diploma or Diploma (or equivalent) in Nursing, Health Sciences, or a similar field.
- Applicants must also demonstrate English language proficiency as per the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's (NMBA) English language skills registration standard.
English Requirements
Applicants must meet the NMBA's English language skills registration standard, which can be demonstrated through various means, including:
- Completion of at least 5 years of continuous education taught and assessed in English in a recognized country.
- Achieving the required scores in English language tests such as IELTS, OET, TOEFL iBT, or PTE Academic.

The program consists of 384 credit points of core midwifery and nursing studies, spread over four years. The course structure includes a range of units that cover foundational knowledge, professional practice, and specialized areas of study.
