Bachelor of Accounting
The Bachelor of Accounting is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to equip students with sought-after accounting expertise and CPA accreditation. This three-year program is delivered in a hybrid mode, combining theoretical foundations with practical skills.
Overview
The Bachelor of Accounting program is based at Victoria University's new 32-level City Tower in Melbourne's CBD. Students develop technical and professional skills, as well as a strong knowledge of global trends in accounting. The program prepares graduates for accreditation with CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Integrate conceptual and technical understandings of business with advanced knowledge within the discipline and demonstrate skills to apply digital technologies.

Course Structure
To attain the award of Bachelor of Accounting, students must complete 288 credit points, consisting of:
- 96 credit points of First Year Core studies
- 96 credit points of Professional Core studies
- 96 credit points made up of either:
- Option A: 96 credit points of Major studies from the approved list
- Option B: 48 credit points of Minor studies BMIFPS Finance and Professional Skills and 48 credit points of Minor studies from the approved list

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the entry criteria, which include:
- Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) with a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English.
- Completion of an Australian Advanced Diploma or Diploma (or equivalent).
- IELTS (or equivalent) with an overall score of 6.0 (with no band less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
- Completion of a Foundation course or equivalent.
Fees and Scholarships
The tuition fee for international students is AU$17,500 per semester (2025) and AU$18,400 per semester (2026). Victoria University offers various scholarships, including the VU Block Model International Scholarship, which provides up to 30% off tuition fees for the entire first year of study.
