The Master of Mental Health and Neuroscience is a fully online program that provides a pathway to higher research or academia. It is designed for those who have completed a Graduate Diploma and offers a continuation of their studies. The program is delivered through the University of the Sunshine Coast's Thompson Institute, where students learn from experts in mental health and neuroscience research, education, and advocacy.

Program Requirements

To successfully complete the program, students must complete 144 units as outlined in the program structure.

Entry Requirements

To be considered for admission, candidates must hold an undergraduate degree (AQF Level 7) or equivalent from a recognized higher education institution in a relevant discipline. Relevant disciplines include science, medical science, nursing, medicine, psychology, health science, pharmacy, counseling, occupational therapy, paramedicine, speech pathology, and social work.

English Language Requirements

Applicants must also meet the English language requirements for this program. If they do not meet the minimum requirements, they may be able to enroll in the English Language Programs to reach the required level.

Special Selection Criteria

Applicants must complete a Personal Statement Form (up to 500 words) detailing their motivation for choosing the Master in Mental Health and Neuroscience program and how their previous studies and experience align with the degree.

Fees and Scholarships

The annual tuition fee for the program is A$30,500. Eligible students may seek assistance to defer payment via a FEE-HELP loan.

Location and Study Load

The program is offered fully online. Full-time study is enrolling in three or more courses per study period, while part-time study is one or two courses per study period. International students on a Student visa must study full-time to finish the program within the set duration.
