Course Overview

The course program covers a wide range of topics, including Christian Thought and Practice, Fundamental Patrology, History of Philosophy, and Foundations of Theology. Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be able to:


  • Understand the relationship between philosophical and theological reflection, spiritual growth, and witnessing to faith.
  • Explain, having examined in detail, Christian beliefs about the Trinitarian God, the Incarnation, and the History of Salvation.
  • Communicate theologically-based responses on the Bible and the Teachings of the Church.
  • Understand and accept the Sacred Scripture as God's revelation throughout the history of the Jewish people in the Old Testament right up to the culmination of revelation in Jesus Christ.
  • Critically analyze different views concerning religious experience.
  • Explain in detail the major developments that occurred in the Church and in theology as the Church sought to keep the Christian tradition alive throughout the ages.

Career Opportunities

As a holder of this degree, graduates will be eligible to register for second-cycle programmes leading to Master's Degrees. They can work as chaplains, higher education lecturers, or teachers.
