Diploma in Construction Management
The Diploma in Construction Management is a program designed to improve the competency of construction trades alongside local construction management demands. It aims to provide building executives or construction managers with the opportunity to enhance their theoretical abilities, with exit awards available at both Certificate and Diploma levels.
Course Overview
The course has been developed in direct response to the requirements of building construction standards. As a participant in this course, you will earn the capacity to identify the developmental stages of a residential building and increase your understanding of contemporary building standards while enabling you to manage a building portfolio throughout time.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Appraise the buildings life cycle execution through up-to-date regulations, outlining the importance of sequencing and planning construction operations for buildings within a controlled environment
- Define and apply an understanding of planning processes, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements to construction
- Review and select the appropriate tools, equipment, and material to perform tasks related to practical building requirements
- Assess the risks resulting from non-compliance to standards and explore the range of tools and techniques in management skills to support construction and project execution
- Understand different methods of project delivery and the roles and responsibilities of all constituencies involved in the design and construction processes
- Understand construction quality assurance, monitoring and control, standards, and building regulation, compliance, and management techniques
Target Audience
The course targets:
- Candidates that have practical experience in construction management but not theoretical studies
- Candidates with practical experience who are employed by the BCA as Build Construction Inspectors
- Candidates at matriculated status interested in a professional career in construction management
- Candidates who have started studies in the BSc.(Built Environment) course leading to professional status as perit, but wish to change direction, still as professionals working in the construction industry
- Site managers, directors, or construction managers
- Executive officers for reviewing and applying the practice of new laws and regulations
- Building enforcement and compliance officers

- Notes and any other requirements: Applicants admitted as "Adult Learners" must be in possession of those qualifications and experience that would satisfy the Board, through an interview, that they have reached the academic standard required to follow the Course with profit
