Diploma in Gender, Work and Society
The Diploma in Gender, Work and Society is a two-year, part-time evening program that provides an introductory overview of gender issues. It aims to increase awareness about the impact of gender on individuals, families, organizations, and society.
Program Overview
The program enables students to analyze various subjects through a gender lens, including work, sociology, psychology, social policy, politics, law, economics, health, culture, and poverty. It helps students become more assertive, improve their debating and writing skills, and become more conscious of their biases and stereotypes.
Program Structure
The program consists of two years, with 60 ECTS credits required for completion. The mode of study is part-time evening.

Admission Requirements
General Entry Requirements: Refer to the list of country-specific qualifications.
International Applicants
Applicants admitted under paragraph (c) of regulation 6 of the Admissions Regulations must possess qualifications and experience that satisfy the Board of Studies. They must also pass an English language proficiency test approved by the University, unless they have a Secondary Education Certificate pass at Grade 5 or higher in English.
Fees
- Non-EU Applicants: Eur 4,250 per academic year
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Be sensitized to the importance of gender as a transversal theme in social, cultural, economic, and political behavior
- Facilitate effective participation of men and women in decision-making processes
- Empower themselves to request, develop, and maintain gender-friendly and gender-sensitive policies
- Acquire personal and interpersonal skills important for their lifestyle and career
- Converse and discuss effectively in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary atmospheres about gender, work, and society
Career Opportunities
The knowledge, skills, and competences gained from this course will enable students to contribute to the implementation of gender mainstreaming, equality, and human rights. The course is also suitable for those interested in continuing their studies in areas related to human resources and gender studies. Students who achieve an average mark of 60% or more may be allowed to join the third year of the Bachelor in Work and Human Resources (Honours) course, subject to conditions.
