Master of Science in Systems Engineering

The Master of Science in Systems Engineering program is designed to enhance technical expertise while developing management skills, preparing students for leadership or management positions.

Program Overview

The program requires 30 credit hours to earn the degree. Most courses are offered in-person, three semesters per year, at times compatible with the typical workday. These classes are generally 1 hour and 15 minutes long and meet twice weekly. In-person classes are also simulcast online, allowing students to attend classes whether on campus or on the go. All simulcast courses are recorded, enabling students to playback sessions at their convenience.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the program, applicants must submit:

• Official academic records of all previously attended colleges or universities
• At least one letter of recommendation from a professor or employer
• A personal statement and resume
• Results from the GRE are not required, but candidates are welcome to submit a score in support of their application

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited program in engineering, physics, chemistry, applied mathematics, or other appropriate program of study. Applicants with a different undergraduate degree may be required to complete prerequisites. A minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. Some programs may require higher GPAs for admission. In some cases, applicants with a GPA below 3.0 may be admitted on a conditional basis.
