Program Overview
The Minor in Neuroscience (NSC) is designed for students with academic and/or professional interests in the field of Neuroscience. Upon completion of the Neuroscience minor, students will gain strong foundational knowledge of the biological functions of the nervous system and its relationship to behavior and brain disorders, demonstrate knowledge of the grand challenges and questions facing modern experimental neuroscience, and develop an appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of this fascinating scientific field.
Program Structure
The Neuroscience minor is housed in the Biology Department. To earn this minor, students must complete a total of 19 credit hours, which includes:
- Two core Neuroscience courses
- Introductory Psychology
- Two upper-level Biomedical elective courses
- Two upper-level Psychology elective courses

The objectives of the Neuroscience minor are to:
