Program Overview

Online Hybrid J.D. Program

The Online Hybrid J.D. Program allows students to earn their J.D. from anywhere in the world. It is one of the first American Bar Association-approved online J.D. programs. Through a combination of live online classes, interactive online coursework, and campus visits, students will receive a comprehensive legal education that prepares them for the next step in their career.

Admissions & Financial Aid

The University of Dayton School of Law follows a rolling admissions process, notifying applicants of their decision within two to six weeks of application completion. Students can begin a residential or online hybrid program during the fall. The university accepts GRE or JD-Next scores from those who have not taken the LSAT. Once admitted to the School of Law, the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid will help students navigate tuition, scholarships, grants, housing, and locker rentals.

J.D. Program Curriculum

The program curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in legal theory and the needs of their clients. Key programmatic elements include:

    • These courses are taught by talented full-time faculty and a cadre of part-time faculty members who include respected judges and experienced practitioners.
