Bachelor of Fine Arts
The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Dayton provides an intensive, professional exploration of fine art media. This program allows students to develop a portfolio and career plan through an emphasis in ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, or sculpture.
Program Overview
The fine arts degree enables students to hone their formal, technical, and conceptual skills and collaborate with faculty on independent special interest problems. Students graduate prepared to enter the field of fine arts and/or continue fine art studies in graduate school.
Progress Review
All majors in the department undergo a major review upon completion of the foundation courses. This review, known as the Exchange, is a 30-minute evaluation by a committee of three faculty members, resulting in a written assessment of student progress toward their degree.
