Development Studies 2 in Ghana

Overview

Development Studies II is a second-level course that builds on Development Studies I, offered in Vietnam. The course aims to combine a study of literature with practical field study.

Aims and Contents

The course combines field experience with literature to inform theory. Upon completing Development Studies I and II, students can apply to continue their studies and complete a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies. The program includes:


  • A three-week field work period
  • A lecture program around four core themes, taught through an interdisciplinary social science/humanistic approach incorporating elements of:
    • History
    • Geography
    • Social anthropology
    • Political science
    • Economics
    • Sociology
  • Course activities (lectures, seminars, assignments, examination) and literature are all in English.
