The PhD course Action Research and Practice Research (SP9250) introduces the historical background and development of action research and practice research, including participatory action research (PAR) and participatory practice research (PPR).

Course Content

The course will cover different directions and research traditions in action research, including epistemological and ontological perspectives, methodological and ethical challenges, and the possibility of conducting action research within the framework of a PhD project.

• Admission requirements: The course is offered only to fellows who are registered as PhD candidates or part of an Associate Professor Program (fřrstelektorprogrammet).
• Required attachments for the application:
  • A summary (one page) with information about the research project or interest.
  • Documentation that you have been admitted to a PhD program.

• Two days at OsloMet: 26 and 27 May.
