The following course is required:


  • EEES 5410: Hydrogeology, 3 hours Select two of the following:
    • EEES 5220: Environmental Geochemistry, 3 hours
    • EEES 5610: Solid Earth Geophysics, 3 hours
    • EEES 6100: Glacial Stratigraphy And Geophysics, 3 hours
    • EEES 6440: Contaminant Hydrogeology, 3 hours
    • EEES 6450: Advanced Applied Hydrogeology, 3 hours Total Hours: 9

Learning Outcomes

Students will:


  • Develop research questions and state a hypotheses that can be answered with data and observations.
  • Calculate groundwater flow rates, fluxes and storage.
  • Evaluate groundwater resource availability and quality.
  • Apply mathematical reasoning and scientific inquiry to hydrogeological problems.
  • Operate geophysical and coring equipment for field data collection.
  • Process digital geophysical data and interpret and synthesize that data.
