Program Overview
University of Toledo Advanced Economics Certificate Program
The Advanced Economics Certificate program is offered by the Department of Economics at the University of Toledo. This program requires 10 credits and consists of three courses.
Program Requirements
To be eligible for the Advanced Economics Certificate, students must be accepted into the Early Admission Program for the One Year Master's Program in Economics. The program consists of the following courses:
- ECON 5150: Advanced Macroeconomic Theory (4 hours)
- Alternatively, ECON 5200: Advanced Microeconomic Theory
- Two elective ECON courses from the following list:
- One at the 5000 level (3 or 4 credits)
- One at the 4000 level (3 credits)

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Advanced Economics Certificate program, students will be able to:
- Analyze economic models using advanced quantitative tools such as regression analysis (PLO I)
