Program Overview

Integrity in Business Leadership Program

The Integrity in Business Leadership Program is a first-year cohort experience that introduces students to the fundamentals of business through the lens of ethical decision-making and responsible leadership.

Program Benefits

Integrity in Business Leadership students participate in weekly meetings to engage in thoughtful discussion on a wide variety of topics that impact business today. They also build community within their cohort through monthly social activities, make meaningful relationships with college leadership, compete in case competitions, and learn from business professionals through hands-on experiences in the community. Each Integrity in Business Leadership student is supported by an IBL peer mentor and the IBL staff as they discover how to be a leader in today's work environment.

Scholarship

IBL students are awarded a $2,000 scholarship for engagement in their first year. The scholarship is split, with $1,000 for each semester of program completion. If they choose to participate in the second-year course, they will receive another $1,000.

Exclusive Hands-on Learning Opportunities

The program provides opportunities for site visits to local businesses, community service projects, participation in a business case competition, and facilitated discussions with impactful guest speakers.

Academic and Career Support

Through IBL, students take some of their introductory College of Business coursework together with their cohort. The program connects participants with free tutoring and guided pathway planning by an academic advisor. Paired with professional development opportunities like connections to employers and a dining etiquette luncheon, IBL prepares students to confidently step into the business world.

Peer Mentorship and Connection

The cohort model of the program encourages a sense of community and connection for first-year students as they navigate projects and discussion around ethical, respectful, and collaborative business practices together. Outside of the class, IBL hosts monthly social events and facilitates the IBL mentor program, where students are paired with a peer mentor to help guide and support them through their first year and beyond.
