Iranische Geschichte und Kulturgeschichte (Erweiterungscurriculum)

The goal of the Erweiterungscurriculum is to provide students with competencies and skills in the area of culture, history, and language of the Iranian-influenced world. This includes the ability to critically understand and interpret complex historical and contemporary events in Iran and Central Asia.

Program Details

• The program aims to impart knowledge of the most important historical, cultural, and social parameters in Iran and neighboring regions.
• Graduates will possess knowledge that enables them to conduct independent research on questions related to the region within their regular studies.
• The Erweiterungscurriculum is particularly aimed at students who want to specialize in certain aspects of the Middle East and Central Asia within their bachelor's studies.

Structure

• The Erweiterungscurriculum can be chosen by all students who are not pursuing the Erweiterungscurriculum "Religion and Politics of the Middle East and North Africa".
• Mandatory modules:
  • IRGK-1 Iranische Geschichte (7 ECTS)
  • IRGK-2 Kulturgeschichte Irans (8 ECTS)
