Erweiterungscurriculum "Grundlagen f³r Computational Science"
The goal of this extension curriculum is to provide students with the necessary knowledge for admission to the Master's program in Computational Science, depending on their undergraduate studies. This curriculum is aimed at students of Bachelor's studies in Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Meteorology, Pharmacy, and Physics.
Requirements
The curriculum requires qualitative admission criteria in the amount of 30 ECTS, which include:
- Informatik-Kenntnisse (Computer Science knowledge) in the following areas, with a minimum of 10 ECTS:
- Grundlagen des Programmierens (Programming basics)
- Objektorientierte Programmierung (Object-oriented programming)
- Datenbanksysteme (Database systems)
- Algorithmen und Datenstrukturen (Algorithms and data structures)
- Mathematik-Kenntnisse (Mathematics knowledge) in the following areas, with a minimum of 10 ECTS:
- Mathematische Grundlagen (Mathematical foundations)
- Lineare Algebra (Linear algebra)
- Analysis (Analysis)
- Naturwissenschaftliche Kenntnisse (Natural Science knowledge) in one or more of the following areas, with a minimum of 10 ECTS:
- Grundlagen der Astronomie und Astrophysik (Basics of astronomy and astrophysics)
- Grundlagen der Biologie (Basics of biology)
- Grundlagen der Chemie (Basics of chemistry)
- Grundlagen der Meteorologie (Basics of meteorology)
- Grundlagen der Pharmazie (Basics of pharmacy)
- Grundlagen der Physik (Basics of physics)
