Program Overview


Master Lehramt UF Digitale Grundbildung und Informatik

The Master's program in Teaching Digitale Grundbildung and Informatik aims to deepen the professional and didactic qualifications for teaching in secondary education (general and vocational).


Program Objectives

The graduates of the Master's program will be able to:


  • Prepare and deliver a well-founded lesson in digital education and computer science in secondary education.
  • Demonstrate research competence in didactics and document their ability to work independently in scientific research with their Master's thesis.
  • Follow the scientific and current developments in computer science and didactics, and incorporate these into their teaching.

Program Structure

The Master's program consists of:


  • Pflichtmodul (9 ECTS): Technical and ethical foundations of artificial intelligence.
  • Alternative Wahlpflichtmodulgruppe (13 ECTS): Specialization in either subject science or didactics.
  • Fachdidaktische Begleitung der Praxisphase (4 ECTS): Didactic accompaniment of the practical phase.
  • Abschlussphase (30 ECTS): Master's seminar, Master's thesis, and Master's examination.
