Required documents

  • Passport or ID card (front and back) as a JPEG or PNG file
  • Degree certificate and grade transcripts/diploma supplement
    • with the certifications provided for your country
    • with a court-sworn translation (if the documents are not in German or English)
    • summarized into a PDF file
  • Proof of meeting the qualitative admission requirements (if not already visible in the grade transcript/diploma supplement)
  • Proof of German language skills at level A2 or higher
  • Proof of English language skills at level B2 or higher
  • If necessary, proof of membership of a group of people in accordance with the Group of Persons Ordinance

Your steps in the admission process

Step 1: Prepare required documents

  1. Scan all required documents and save them in the appropriate format.
  2. Merge multiple pages of the same document into a PDF file using an online tool of your choice.

Step 2: Submit an application for admission

  1. Create your u:account in u:space within the application deadline.
  2. Log in to u:space, complete the registration and select the desired course of study.
  3. Upload the required documents.

Step 3: Wait for the acceptance letter

After you have submitted the application for admission, you must wait for your admission decision.


Step 4: Admission to the course

  1. Book an online initial registration appointment.
  2. After the online appointment, you will be provisionally admitted to the course.

Step 5: Pay your student/ÖH contribution and order your u:card

After your appointment, pay the tuition/ÖH contribution. Admission is completed as soon as the required contribution appears as "received" in u:space > Financial > Student/ÖH contribution. You can then order and validate your student ID card, the u:card.
