Programme Overview
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Product Engineering with Marketing programme is designed to provide integrated education and training to students for synergising product design, technology, and business in new product development.

The programme aims to:
- Provide integrated education and training to students for synergising product design, technology, and business in new product development
- Enable students to develop their knowledge in business development, strategic product planning, product marketing, and management
- Supply graduates who are capable of product design and development and can interact with customers, industrial designers, production personnel, suppliers, and vendors
Programme Characteristics
The programme provides comprehensive education and training in the development of successful new products. It adopts an integrative and problem-based teaching and learning approach, helping students develop their knowledge in product design and development, marketing, as well as their communication, teamwork, management, and self-learning skills.
Recognition and Prospects
Professional Recognition
The programme has been granted full accreditation by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) as a professional engineering degree programme recognised by other Washington Accord signatories.
Career Prospects
Graduates have the abilities needed to work as product engineers, project engineers, and product design engineers in the development of various kinds of products.
Curriculum
Students must complete all of the following subjects to fulfil the credit requirement for graduation:
- General University Requirement (GUR) (minimum 9 credits)
- Core Subjects (2 subjects of 2 credits each, 15 subjects of 3 credits each, total 49 credits)
- Projects (6 credits)
- Practical Training Modules (6 training credits)
- Work-Integrated Education

- An Associate Degree or a Higher Diploma in Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline

Entry Scholarship
To recognise the outstanding academic performance of students, the department will grant an entry scholarship with a total amount up to HK$30,000 to eligible students admitted to the programme via Non-JUPAS local senior year admission.
