Master of Science/Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics Management

The Master of Science/Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain and Logistics Management is a multidisciplinary and flexible programme that offers various modules blending different major subject areas on Business, Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.


Programme Overview

This programme is designed for the development of those who want to work in logistics and supply chain engineering and management across a variety of business sectors. It introduces participants to tools and techniques that can be used to evaluate, manage, and improve service, operational, and supply chain processes, and conduct market analyses.


Aims and Characteristics

The programme aims to provide participants with knowledge on how to evaluate and manage appropriate enabling technologies and use enterprise resource planning systems to improve the operational functions of a business. It also develops a wide knowledge of strategy development and design.


Recognition and Prospects

This MSc degree is jointly awarded by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The University of Warwick, UK. It will be applied to be continuously accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, UK, and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK.

  • Programme Structure: For the MSc, core modules include:
    • Interdisciplinary Research Methods
    • Procurement and Inventory Management
    • Storage and Warehousing Technologies
    • Strategy and Operations Management
    • Supply Chain Digitisation and Data Analytics
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Sustainable Supply Chain Management and the Circular Economy
    • Transport Techniques and Management
    • And a Project (Dissertation)
  • For the PgD: Students must either complete (i) 8 taught modules or (ii) 4 modules plus a Project (Dissertation).
  • Students are required to complete the compulsory 1-credit subject EEE5T03 Engineering Ethics and Academic Integrity to satisfy the Academic Integrity and Ethics (AIE) requirement for graduation. No credit fee will be charged for this subject.

  • Bachelors degree with Second Class (Upper Division) Honours or the equivalent

Tuition Fee

HK$23,000 per module for local and non-local students. A HK$60,000 Project (Dissertation) fee will also be charged for local and non-local students.
