Program Overview


Introduction to the MSc / PgD in Global Supply Chain Management Programme

The MSc / PgD in Global Supply Chain Management programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of global supply chain management. The programme is offered in two formats: Master of Science (MSc) and Postgraduate Diploma (PgD).


Programme Structure

The programme structure for the 2024/25 cohort or after is as follows:


  • Master of Science (MSc): 11 subjects (31 credits)
    • Compulsory Subjects: 4 subjects (10 credits)
    • Restricted Elective Subjects: 3 subjects (9 credits)
    • Free Elective Subjects: 4 subjects (12 credits)
  • Postgraduate Diploma (PgD): 7 subjects (19 credits)
    • Compulsory Subjects: 4 subjects (10 credits)
    • Restricted Elective Subjects: 3 subjects (9 credits)
    • Free Elective Subjects: 0 subjects (0 credits)

The compulsory subjects for both MSc and PgD are:


  • LGT5002 International Logistics Systems, Operations and Management
  • LGT5015 Supply Chain Management
  • LGT5034 Global Sourcing and Supply
  • LGT5T21 Academic Integrity and Ethics in Business (1 credit)

Restricted Elective Subjects

Students need to choose at least 3 Restricted Elective Subjects from the following categories:

Common Pool Electives

Students are allowed to choose 1 elective, equivalent to 3 credits, from the Common Pool to fulfill the elective requirements of the programme.


Programme Requirements

Students should strictly comply with the prescriptions of the programme curriculum when performing subject registration. Those who fail to meet the programme requirements will NOT be allowed to graduate. Credit transfer/exemption will not be granted for subjects chosen from the FB Common Pool, unless the Elective Subject concerned falls within the programme curriculum.

The offering of subjects is subject to class quota availability. The subject syllabi are subject to approval. Not all subjects will be offered every year, and registration is subject to the availability of quota.
