Program Overview
Master Program in Latin American Studies
The Master's program in Latin American Studies aims to provide central knowledge of historical, literary, musical, and social anthropological sciences about Latin American societies. It lays theoretical, empirical, and linguistic foundations to grasp the diversity of cultural forms and practices of European conquerors, settlers, and immigrants, as well as indigenous populations and today's hybrid and multicultural Latin American national societies. The program builds on the prior knowledge that students bring from a BA degree in fields such as history, language and literature, social anthropology, or musicology.
