General Information About the Study Program
The DAS Public Health program allows for flexible entry and is designed to provide participants with the core competencies needed for public health work. After registration, a personal interview takes place to plan the individual curriculum, which is made possible by the modular and flexible structure of the program.
Objectives of the Program
The program enables participants to:
- Describe and evaluate disease and health problems in the population from an epidemiological and health economic perspective.
- Design, implement, and evaluate effective health promotion and prevention interventions for socially and culturally diverse population groups.
- Describe and evaluate health policies and reform processes in Switzerland and other countries against the legal, political, and economic background.
- Assess conditions and change processes in the healthcare system based on sound basic knowledge of health economics.
- Take a scientifically based and transparent position on public health issues in support of or vis-ŕ-vis decision-makers in politics, economy, administration, and associations.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the continuing education programs in Public Health requires a university degree at the master's level in a field relevant to public health, as well as professional experience. In exceptional cases, individuals with equivalent qualifications and corresponding professional practice may be admitted. Admission may be restricted. The study leadership issues implementing provisions in the study regulations. The program management decides on the admission of a candidate.
Registration and Costs
The entry into the diploma program is possible at any time for individuals with a university degree at the master's level. Individuals without a master's degree can be admitted after completing a CAS program. Interested individuals can initially visit individual modules before registering for the study program.
The study fees amount to approximately CHF 29,800, including registration and graduation fees, course materials, and refreshments during breaks.
