Program Description
The two-week Summer School provides compact knowledge of the current and future challenges faced by healthcare organizations, enabling participants to derive the right conclusions for shaping their own leadership role. The program is designed for individuals who are about to take on a higher leadership role or are transitioning into such a role.

Sponsorship and Faculty
The program is conducted by the Center for Health Law and Management in the Healthcare Sector of the University of Bern, which is jointly supported by the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, and the Medical Faculty of the University of Bern. In addition to university lecturers, external experts are also involved in the program.
Admission Requirements
The program is designed for top executives in the healthcare sector, such as members of management or hospital management. This includes lateral entrants, medical directors, higher nursing executives, and leaders from support areas and staff functions.
- Requirements: University degree and several years of leadership experience in higher functions (e.g., management). Professional experience in the healthcare sector is desirable but not a requirement.
- Exceptions: Exceptions to the admission requirements can be approved by the program management "sur Dossier".
- Participant Limit: The number of participants is limited to 15. Applications are considered in the order they are received. The final admission decision is made by the program management.
