Klinische Radiologie

The Department of Radiology at the Vetsuisse-Fakult‰t Bern is a recognized training center by the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI) for veterinary radiology and offers a standardized and internationally recognized training program in the field of diagnostic imaging.


European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

The training, also known as a Residency, lasts 4 years, during which time a high level of specialized knowledge is imparted about the techniques of various imaging modalities (X-ray, ultrasound, scintigraphy, magnetic resonance tomography, and computed tomography) as well as the evaluation of imaging studies in large and small animals. The focus of the training in the Department of Clinical Radiology at the Vetsuisse-Fakult‰t Bern is on small animals.


Training Program

After completing the training, a centralized, uniformly European examination is conducted. Upon successful completion, the title of Diplomate ECVDI, European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, may be used.
