Program Overview
The Dipl獽e de formation continue (DAS) in Formation des adultes is a university-level program offered by the University of Geneva. This program is designed for professionals in the field of adult education and training, aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for adults.
Objectives
- Acquire theoretical and reflective resources necessary for professionals in adult education and training.
- Develop and reinforce key competencies in analysis, design, animation, counseling, and evaluation of adult education and training programs.
- Connect theories and methodologies with professional practices.
Target Audience
The program is intended for:
- Trainers, consultants, and facilitators in adult education and training.
- Managers and team leaders responsible for training and development within organizations.
- Professionals in human resource management, career counseling, and professional integration seeking to expand their scope of action in adult education and training.
Program Structure
The program consists of 9 or 10 thematic modules chosen from a total of 15 modules, plus 2 or 3 specific modules, depending on the participant's path and prerequisites. The modules cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Engineering and design of training devices in organizations.
- Digitalization and hybridization in training.
- Strategy for group animation.
- Verbal interactions and learning in work situations.
- Insertion, integration, and socialization in adult education and training.
Specific Modules
In addition to the thematic modules, participants must complete specific modules, including:
- Analysis of practices.
- Opening in the field of Adult Education and Training.
- Research and innovation in a professional context (Final project).
Evaluation
Each module is evaluated, and participants must develop questions related to their professional practices. In case of failure, participants have the opportunity to retake the evaluation once.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the program, candidates must:
- Hold a degree from a professional or higher education institution, or an equivalent title.
- Have at least three years of relevant professional experience in adult education and training, or in a related field.
- Be currently working in a field related to adult education and training.
Equivalences
Holders of the CAS Formation des adultes certificate are recognized as having completed the equivalent of 6 thematic modules (30 ECTS credits). Holders of the Brevet f嶮廨al de formateur et de formatrice dadultes (BFFA), or an equivalent title, are recognized as having completed the equivalent of 3 thematic modules (15 ECTS credits), subject to examination of their dossier by the program's directing committee.
Tuition Fees
- CHF 21,000 for the entire DAS program.
- CHF 10,200 for individuals who have completed the CAS Formation des adultes.
- CHF 15,600 for individuals who hold the BFFA or an equivalent title.
- CHF 2,000 per module for participants who choose to enroll in individual modules.
Duration and Credits
The program lasts approximately two years, with a total of 60 ECTS credits. Classes are held in presence, on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with breaks.
Language
The program is conducted in French.
Location
The program takes place in Geneva, Switzerland.
Application Deadline
The deadline for applications is May 3, 2023. It is possible to enroll in the program on a modular basis.
Diploma
Upon successful completion of the program, participants are awarded the Dipl獽e de formation continue (DAS) in Formation des adultes by the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Geneva.
Direction and Coordination
The program is directed by Prof. Germain Poizat and coordinated by Sandra Zanelli, both from the University of Geneva.
Committee
The program's directing committee includes internal members from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, as well as external members from related professional fields.
