Program Overview


Program Overview

The University of Geneva offers a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Sexual Health, with a focus on prevention and promotion. This program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of sexual health, including its historical, psychosocial, anthropological, public health, and legal aspects.


Objectives

The primary objectives of this program are to:


  • Acquire multidisciplinary knowledge in the field of sexuality and sexual health
  • Discover and deepen projects of prevention and promotion in the field of sexual health
  • Integrate theoretical knowledge and develop professional skills and posture to support the promotion of sexual health in various professional contexts

Program Structure

The program consists of three modules:


  1. Human Relations and Sexuality: This module explores the determinants of sex, gender, and sexuality, as well as the various dimensions of intimacy and body relationships.
  2. Public Health and Sexual Health: This module covers the basics of public health work, promotion of sexual health, and prevention, with a focus on national and international frameworks.
  3. Practical Laboratory: This module involves an alternation between thematic courses and in-depth workshops, aiming to identify tools and resources based on situations from the participants' professional environments.
