The Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Science Conjoint BCom/BSc is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to equip students with the tools necessary to succeed in a global business world driven by data and evidence-based analysis.
Programme Overview
This conjoint degree offers students the opportunity to create a versatile qualification that matches their interests, with 37 undergraduate majors to choose from. The program emphasizes transferable skills, cutting-edge technologies, and independent research, providing a gateway to a wide range of successful careers.
Programme Structure
The BCom/BSc conjoint degree typically takes four years to complete, requiring students to complete a total of 540 points. The program consists of:
- 255 points from BCom courses
- 255 points from BSc courses
- 15 points from a General Education course
- 15 points from courses available for any program at the University
Students can choose one major for the BCom component and either a single or double major in Science. The following Science majors are not available in conjoint programs: Biomedical Science, Data Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Green Chemical Science, Medicinal Chemistry, and Quantitative Statistics.
Entry Requirements
New Zealand Secondary School Qualifications
To enter the program, students must meet the University Entrance (UE) standard and achieve a guaranteed rank score. Specific requirements include:
- NCEA: 210 points
- CIE: 230 points
- IB: 28 points
Tertiary Qualifications
Students with prior tertiary study can transfer to this program if they have completed one semester of successful bachelor-degree-level study at a recognized university. A minimum GPA of 3.9 is required.
International Students
International students must have one of the following:
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum total score of 24
- General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level with a minimum of three A-Level subjects
- Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) with a minimum of three A-Level subjects
Minimum grade requirements and English language proficiency (IELTS 6.0) also apply.

- International students: NZ$53,124 $65,260
Fees are inclusive of 15% GST but do not include the Student Services Fee, course books, travel, and health insurance, or living costs.
