LLB Degree Planning
Planning your Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree carefully is essential to completing your studies on time and meeting all program requirements. The LLB degree is typically completed over three and a half to four years, with a normal workload of 60 points per semester. Students can choose to complete a single LLB degree or a conjoint degree with another faculty.
Course Planning and Enrolment
Enrol early to secure your preferred courses and class times. The Law Timetable and list of available courses are usually published by late October, ahead of enrolments opening in November for the following academic year.

Workload and Study Expectations
Balancing your study with work and personal commitments is key to success in the LLB. Use the guide below to plan a workload thats realistic for you. The normal workload for the LLB is 60 points per semester, with a maximum workload of 80 points per semester.
Tutorials, Clinics, and Workshops
Most compulsory law courses include lectures, fortnightly tutorials, clinics, or workshops. As many tutors are legal practitioners, tutorials may be scheduled early morning or evening.
Enrolment Concessions
If youre unable to enrol normally due to timetable clashes, unmet requisites, or other issues, you may apply for an enrolment concession. Only one concession can be submitted per lecture stream or workshop, and not all requests are approved.

Law Exchange Opportunities
Students can apply for a law exchange after completing all LLB Part III compulsory courses, typically in your fourth year. Students usually complete 60 points of law electives while on exchange.
