Key Dates and Availability
Applications for semester 1 of 2026 are open from 28 July to 17 August 2025, and applications for semester 2 of 2026 are open from 26 January to 15 February 2026.
Available Areas of Specialisation
Placements may be possible in a range of departments, subject to availability.
Fees, Finance, and Accommodation
Students must arrange their own fees, finances, and accommodation.
Regulations
Students must read and comply with the rules and regulations regarding responsibility, limitations, and dress code.
Visa Requirements
Visiting medical students must obtain a Work Permit under the Students and Trainees Policy for entry to New Zealand.
Insurance Cover
Students must have medical-legal, personal, and health insurance.
Immunisations Required
Students must receive certain immunisations before beginning their placement in New Zealand.
