Bachelor of Arts - Majoring in Statistics
The Bachelor of Arts with a major in Statistics is a comprehensive program that provides students with a strong foundation in statistical theory and methods. This major can be taken as one of two BA majors, allowing students to combine Statistics with another discipline such as Sociology or Politics and International Relations.
Structuring Your Major in Statistics
To complete the major in Statistics, students must pass at least 120 points (eight courses) towards the major, including at least 45 points (three courses) at Stage III. Complementary BA majors with Statistics could be Sociology or Politics and International Relations. Alternatively, students can choose their second major from any other BA subject, such as History or Media, Film and Television.
