Master of Business Analytics (MBusAn)

The Master of Business Analytics (MBusAn) is a practice-focused master's program designed to launch your career as a business analytics professional.


Programme Overview

The MBusAn will equip you with the specialist knowledge and practical skills to source, manipulate, and analyze data to address real-world business issues. It is suited to recent business and non-business graduates (excluding students who majored in Business Analytics or Data Science), and mid-career professionals who have not completed a Business Analytics qualification.


Duration and Structure

  • The program is 15 months long, consisting of 180 points studied over five quarters.
  • You will study six core courses addressing data sources for the formulation of business strategies and the analytics required to inform decision-making.

Entry Requirements

All our Business Masters degrees are pre-experience coursework programs. To gain entry, you will need to have completed a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with the equivalent of at least a New Zealand B average in the most advanced courses.


English Requirements

Our Business Masters programs are taught entirely in English. You must therefore be able to understand, speak, and write English fluently. The English requirements are:


  • Academic IELTS 6.5, with no band less than 6.0
  • TOEFL (paper-based) 575 (TWE 4.5)
  • TOEFL (internet-based) 90 (written 21)
  • Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP) B-
  • English Pathway for Postgraduate Studies (EPPS) B-
  • PTE Academic 58, with no PTE communicative skills score below 50

Scholarships

Business Masters scholarships are open to admitted students for our Master of Applied Finance, Master of Business Analytics, Master of International Business, Master of Management, Master of Marketing, and Master of Professional Accounting programs. Recipients are selected based on academic merit and a written statement covering career goals and motivation.


Programme Structure

The MBusAn is an 15-month, 180-point program studied over five quarters. You will study six core courses addressing data sources for the formulation of business strategies and the analytics required to inform decision-making.
