Program Overview
All Systems Go! Autism Tertiary Transition Programme
The "All Systems Go!" programme is designed to support Autistic students and their whnau through the transition from secondary school to tertiary education.
Programme Overview
The programme is offered by the Inclusive Learning team at the university and consists of two parts:
- Live webinar
- On campus Welcome day
Students and whnau are encouraged to engage in the parts they feel are most relevant to them.
Webinar: Get Set!
This webinar is designed to prepare Autistic secondary school students for their transition to university, providing information about key aspects of university life and guidance on how to navigate these. Topics include:
- Social relationships
- Academic expectations
- Neurodiverse wellbeing
- Preparing for the tertiary environment
Students and whnau who attend this session will receive access to the "Get Set" webinar workbook that complements the material presented in the webinar.
Welcome Day: Get Going!
This event is for Autistic students who have enrolled to study at the University of Auckland. The details of the event are as follows:
- Date: Tuesday 17 February 2026
- Time: 9:30am to 2pm
During this event, students will explore key locations and learn about support services and resources. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with others and hear from current Autistic students about their university experiences. Whnau or a support person are welcome to attend.
