Program Overview


Evacuation Chair Training Program

The Evacuation Chair Training program is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to safely transport individuals downstairs during evacuations or when lifts are unavailable.


Aim

The primary objective of this program is to provide hands-on experience in the safe use and operation of evacuation chairs, enabling participants to transport people with varying disabilities out of a building.


Key Content

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:


  • Operate evacuation chairs safely and effectively
  • Understand safety considerations and protocols
  • Transfer individuals with varying disabilities into and out of the chair

Suitability

This program is suitable for frontline and public-facing staff, as well as anyone who may interact with abusive members of the public.


Validity Period

The certification obtained through this program is valid for 24 months.


Facilitator

The program is facilitated by Phil Jackson, a Certified Evacuation Consultant endorsed by the Fire Protection Association.


Cost

The cost of the program is $385.00, excluding tax.


Maximum Persons per Session

Each session is limited to 8 participants.


Cancellation and Enrolment Information

Cancellation of training sessions within 5 working days of the scheduled date will incur full payment. A purchase order is required to secure a session, and 4 weeks' notice is necessary to organize a session.
