Bachelor of Education (TESOL)

The Bachelor of Education (TESOL) is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and expertise necessary to excel in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

  • General Education/Electives: Choose one course from the Open Schedule or Education and Social Work (EDSW) Schedule.

  • Additional Electives (Semester 2): Choose one course from ACADENG 100, ACADENG 101, or ENGWRIT 101.

Year 2

    • LINGUIST 203
  • Electives (Semester 1): Choose one course from EDUC 204, EDUC 212, or EDUC 214, plus EDUC 224.
  • Electives (Semester 2): Choose one course from EDUC 221 or EDUC 223, plus one course from EDUC 209, EDUC 213, or HEALTHED 201 (if applicable).

Year 3

  • Core courses (Semester 1):

  • Core courses (Semester 2):

    • EDPROFST 397
  • Electives (Semester 1): EDUC 351 and EDUC 304 (available only in Summer School).
  • Electives (Semester 2): Choose one course from EDUC 323 or EDUC 352, and one additional 15-point elective course from any bachelors degree at the University.
