The HR Policy & Practice (Online) program is designed to improve organisational effectiveness by designing and evaluating HR policies.


Course Details

Certificate of Proficiency

The Certificate of Proficiency is a 10-week course that teaches students how to design, develop, and evaluate HR management policies and practices. The course is worth 15 credit points.


Admission Requirements

  • No specific experience or qualifications are required.
  • University Entrance (or equivalent) is required for admission.
  • The course is only available to NZ citizens and permanent residents over 20 years old.

  • The course duration is 10 weeks.
  • The domestic fee is $1,453 (estimate), which includes 15% GST but excludes the Student Services Fee, course books, travel and health insurance, and living costs.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students will:


  • Be awarded 15 credit points from the University of Auckland
  • Have the option to take their credit into the Master of Business Management (entry criteria and time limits apply)

Postgraduate Options

The Master of Business Management in Human Resource Management is available, with a duration of 1.5 years accelerated part-time study. Start dates are 13 April 2026 and 28 September 2026.
