NEBOSH National Diploma Environmental Management (part-time)
The University of Hull offers a one-year, part-time diploma in Environmental Management, ideal for those looking to reinforce or advance their career in this field. This respected professional qualification is internationally recognized and provides students with the skills and competence to promote and improve environmental performance in the workplace.
About the Course
The course is accredited by NEBOSH and satisfies the requirements for non-chartered membership of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (MCIWEM) and specialist membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (SIIRSM). Students will study under expert teaching staff and have the option to continue their studies to gain a full BSc degree.

These modules follow the NEBOSH Environmental Diploma syllabus and cover topics such as principles of environmental risk management, control strategies for environmental risk, and the range of environmental audit systems.
Entry Requirements
Applicants would normally hold the NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma or an equivalent qualification leading to membership of IOSH. Candidates with a level 3 health and safety qualification and a suitable higher education qualification can also be considered.
Fees & Funding
The standard tuition fee is Ł4,459 per year, with the amount increasing each year in line with inflation, capped to the Retail Price Index. Most UK students can take out a Masters Loan to help with tuition fees and living costs.
Future Prospects
This program equips students with the skills and competence to promote and improve environmental performance in the workplace, leading to a professional qualification and graduate membership of the recognized professional body in the field, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), with the opportunity to achieve chartered membership of IOSH.
