The MSc in Healthcare Leadership is a part-time, online program that focuses on the development of leadership and management skills in the healthcare sector. This program is designed to help students critically evaluate their activities as leaders and positively engage with those around them.

Program Overview

The MSc in Healthcare Leadership is a two-year, part-time program that is delivered 100% online. The program is also available as a Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) and Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Healthcare Leadership. The total course fees for the MSc are ｣9,950, while the PgDip and PgCert cost ｣6,700 and ｣3,400, respectively.

Course Modules

The program consists of the following compulsory modules:

• Self as Leader (30 credits): This introductory module explores self-awareness and leadership theory, equipping students with the knowledge needed to engage with the rest of the course material.
• Supporting Change, Innovation, and Problem-Solving (30 credits): This module provides a critical understanding of the nature of and relationships between problem-solving, innovation, and change in the context of healthcare.
• Promoting Quality and Safety in Healthcare (30 credits): This module explores the proficiencies required for leaders to enhance organisational effectiveness and improve the quality of care delivery and patient safety.
• Global Perspectives on Healthcare Policy (30 credits): This module develops students' ability to explore their leadership activities and responsibilities within a policy context, building their understanding of how policy is developed at the macro, meso, and micro level.
• Capstone Project (60 credits): The Capstone Project provides students with the chance to demonstrate the integration and application of their learning throughout the program through a self-designed project.

Alternative Programs

The university also offers a Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) and Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Healthcare Leadership for applicants who may not want to take a full master's. The PgCert is made up of two of the 30-credit modules, while the PgDip requires completion of all four 30-credit modules.
