Program Overview
BA (Hons) War, Strategy and Security
The University of Hull offers a comprehensive undergraduate program in War, Strategy and Security, providing students with a deep understanding of the complex relationships between war, politics, and security. This three-year full-time course is designed to equip students with critical insights into the domestic and global significance of war, politics, and security.
Course Overview
The program focuses on the most important events and debates in politics and security, including British political history after World War II, the causes of conflict in modern times, land, air and sea power, culture wars, terrorism, and cyberwarfare. Students will gain critical insights into the theoretical and practical aspects of war and security, examining the key conceptual and historical developments in land, sea, and air warfare.

Each year, students will study modules worth 120 credits, with a combination of compulsory and optional modules. Some of the modules include:

Entry Requirements
To apply for this course, students will need 112 UCAS points, with at least 80 points coming from A levels, BTEC, or other equivalent qualifications. The typical offer includes:

Fees and Funding
The standard course fee for UK students is Ł9,790 per year, with the option to take out a tuition fee loan to cover the full cost of the course. Additional costs may include living expenses, which can be covered by a maintenance loan of up to Ł10,544 per year.

Graduates of this program will gain the skills to research and examine information, critically analyze evidence, and construct robust arguments.
