Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Design Experiential Learning
The Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Design Experiential Learning seeks to attract a diverse set of students, and admission does not solely depend on grades. The program uses a video assessment and evaluates a portfolio to gain a more complete understanding of each applicant.

This program is looking for students with unique backgrounds and interests who want to make a difference in the world while working at the intersection of technology and other fields. The program requires applicants to demonstrate the following attributes:

Application Process
Depending on the current status of the applicant, there are two ways to request admission into the Multidisciplinary Design program.
Students Not Currently Enrolled at uOttawa
To apply to the Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Design - Experiential Learning, students must provide personal and contact information and academic background to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC). They must also complete an online video assessment and submit a portfolio through the Kira Talent platform.
Students Currently Enrolled at uOttawa
If a student is currently enrolled at uOttawa and meets the program admission requirements, they can request a program change. They must then complete an online video assessment and submit a portfolio through the Kira Talent platform.
Portfolio Requirements
The purpose of the portfolio is to provide examples of what the applicant has done and who they are. The portfolio should highlight the attributes that make the applicant uniquely themselves. It is a collection of work that represents the individual's creative and technical experiences and accomplishments.
Video Assessment - Interview
The program uses an online video assessment to get to know the applicant through an asynchronous interview. The interview consists of pre-recorded questions, and applicants will need a desktop or laptop computer with a functioning webcam, microphone, and internet connection.

The personal information provided during the registration process will be used by the University of Ottawa for the purposes of and those consistent with the administration of the applicant's candidacy at the Faculty of Engineering.
