Program Overview

STEM Leadership Program

The STEM Leadership Program is a three-week program designed for teens aged 14 to 16, focusing on developing technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills. The program aims to train participants for volunteer roles and jobs in STEM education and camp settings.


Program Description

The program combines technical training, leadership development, and hands-on experience, providing participants with essential skills for the modern workplace. Through interactive learning experiences and group activities, participants will gain technical knowledge, leadership skills, and confidence to thrive in any future STEM career or workplace environment.


Program Structure

The program is divided into three weeks:


  • Week 1: Training and development, focusing on science and engineering skills, leadership fundamentals, and employment skills.
  • Week 2 and 3: Hands-on experience, where participants work alongside experienced instructors, delivering STEM programming to children in a collaborative and supervised environment.

  • Grade Level: Completion of Grade 9, 10, or 11
  • Location: uOttawa campus, SITE, 800 King Edward Avenue
  • Hours: Monday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Dates and Cost (summer 2026):
    • June 29th to July 17th, 2026: $465
    • July 13th to 31st, 2026: $500
    • July 27th to August 14th, 2026: $465
