Admission Criteria

To be admitted to this program, students must:


  • Study full-time in the Licence en droit (LL.L.) and B.Sc.Soc. specialized in développement international et mondialisation program and maintain full-time status during all semesters of study, including the one after the last internship
  • Have maintained a cumulative weighted average (CWA) of at least 6 in courses taken at the University of Ottawa
  • Have fulfilled all course requirements up to the end of the first year and be enrolled in the mandatory courses of their program of study in the fall and winter of the second year in order to follow the approved work-study sequence

Co-op Fees

As a co-op student, one pays co-op program fees starting from the academic session preceding the first work term and then for each subsequent co-op work term until the last one. The amount of these fees is announced by the Registrar each year.

How to Apply for Admission

There are two ways to apply for admission to this program:


  1. When applying for admission to the University, one can simultaneously submit an application to one of the programs offering co-op education (except for translation and biomedical sciences). The admission average required is:
  • 80% or higher for high school students admitted to first year university
  • 75% or higher for those who have completed at least two years of college
  1. After starting studies at the University, one can submit an application to the co-op program.

The deadline to apply for the co-op program is September 30 of the second year of study.
